I completely disagree, I see this as the end for the NPPL. The last thing paintball needs right now is new formats. The NPPL is in debt, this is their last ditch effort but comes up short. These formats are even farthur from x-ball then the bastardized version that the PSP has sold the paintball public. THE NPPL IS NOT ADDING X-BALL! These "matches" will play out just like exactly how the NEPL did their 5-man last year, except it's a race to 4 or 5. You go on the feild play one point and then go off. There is no coaching, there is no ramping. You don't go into a pit and play consecutive points, with a break timer. Yes, I know the PSP is operating on a tight string, but they are keeping their heads just above the water. This back from the dead version of the NPPL is doing no better then when they went bankrupt last time, they are just to stupid to give up.

Re: NPPL 2012
The whole bankruptcy thing was actually someone who "misplaced" a bunch of money...also known as embezzlement lol. The Nppl also has a new huge backer financially that is going to dump a bunch of money into the system. I also agree that its going to be ugly this season with players trying to figure out what format they want to commit to....

Re: NPPL 2012
Dumping money into a system, to make it go, doesn't mean it works. If the NPPL was a viable company it wouldn't need a huge finacial backer. Losing money is losing money. If you start with nothing and lose a half a million you lose just as much money as someone who started with a million and ended up with a half a million. Any one who dumps their money into the NPPL is chasing 2003. 2003 isn't walking through that door, the only people who care about paintball are paintball players, how many teams go to the NPPL events versus the PSP events?

I completely understand and know all those numbers also justin. I just think its worse for the better of the sport for them to fight and try to kill the other league off...

I think its the only way. Don't get me wrong I love playing 7-man, but that's basically because I'm old, and fat. I think as far as professional paintball goes the PSP is the answer.
