Re: bangor reball
$75 an hour? What would you consider a good length for a day of re-ball or a practice? 4 hours? 5 hours? More? Less? You also have to factor in set up and tear down time. Re-balls are over $100 for 500 (new), you could bypass some of that by buying them used but because they do not really deteriorate they seem to hold their value pretty well. You would have to have over 8 people pay $35 for a four hour re-ball experience, and that is after the cost of re-ball. I am not trying to shoot anything down and I know many people will say things like "but you can" and so forth, but I think that only needing players, and re-balls is kind of a big deal. I want to wait and see if "Stanks" will weigh in as they play re-ball at MMA. He might have a better handle on cost than my back-of-the-envelope math.
Re: bangor reball
Hey guys. I just read this thread.
Let me be honest and say its not feasible. Not at those costs for $75 an hour. Whoever wants that is high as a kite.
Our bunkers were a lot of money.
Our reballs were a lot of money.
Then our scuba tanks and fills and fill stations were a lot of money as well.
As much as I would love for the scene to come back. I'm from NH and came to MMA when the "prime" was over for the Bangor paintball scene. I just don't think its available at these costs.

I'd rather play in the snow than pay $75 an hour for reball

Re: bangor reball
I think this could be a great thing, but I don't think it would be good to do it through fields4kids because it would end up costing more. I think the only way we could do it is if someone let us use a barn or, a garage, or some other massive indoor place to put the field.
We could find an airball field with some searching (if jeff has already sold his sup airball field), scuba tanks are easy to find, shop vac, small heaters, reballs (maybe used), and that's about all we would need.
We could pool some money, and the people who pooled the money would get a key to get into the field and so would the person that let us use the field. We would need to get legal forms and that's about it.
The field fee could be like $15 to $20 to pay for the air and to improve the field later on. I don't see why this can't happen, we would just need to be lucky enough to find a place.

Re: bangor reball
well its not 75 a hour per person its 75 for a group. i think u severly underestimate how much cash it might cost to do somthing like this. im just going to stick with supporting feilds we have.

Re: bangor reball
But if we did it ourselves it would be free heating. And you said fields plural, is there a reball field besides BAP?

Re: bangor reball
I just looked and it's really expensive too. $15 field fee, $5 everytime you fill hpa, and $5 a hopper.
Re: bangor reball
we might have access to a field for $100 a month we just need bunks, netting, and air

Re: bangor reball
Well we can get air easy enough, bunkers shouldn't be too hard, and netting isn't that expensive.
Re: bangor reball
netting is pricey!
