Anyone that doesn't call a marker "a gat" should be an old timer.[ADMIN] wrote:Alright, how would you determine an old timer? I just don't feel that your age earns you a badge, anybody could join the forum and lie about their age and get a badge.

Re: Badges
So sniper, take your age, divide it by 4, and add it to the years you have been playing and pm it to me please. Same with zimmjeff and anybody else who thinks they deserve this badge.

I think that I'm the oldest person here.

Re: Badges
Not to ruin your fun, but as I told you guys and posted here myself I can get yelled at too and I'm already walking that fine line between a ticked of Admin and being muted (probably)...
From Admin...
I'm pretty relaxed about this forum getting off topic. But I'm not too happy cleaning up announcements and stickies. If people could try not to get the stickies and announcements off topic, I would be very grateful. If you don't, I'll temp ban you for an hour or something like that. Not harsh at all, but it gets my point across. I have yet to ban somebody yet, so don't worry about me going banhappy.
Keep this in mind too...
He will probably be pissed we've posted all this in his thread...

Re: Badges
So instead of awarding one old timer badge you should give old tmer badges to the few of us that started back before paintball was "cool". When I Started I was a freshman in HS and it was not something to brag about. If you had a "constant air" you were ahaead of half the people on the feild. Same as if you had auto-trigger. Paintball Mags were from Europe and had the prices in pounds not dollars. I can go on but no one cares.

Re: Badges
I agree with Cheif. Maybe make a master old timer badge for the oldest, but anyone who meets certain pre agreed upon limits should be awarded the badge.
EDIT for the above: Probably... I just dont want to tick Admin off again. (Well, not twice in the same week.)

This is what we are trying to figure out.
Re: Badges
But you were planning it so only 1 person could have the badge. Maybe a master old timer badge, but more than 1 regular old timer badge. And I'm definitely not a old timer, so I'm not trying to get one myself just so people know.

Re: Badges
Well I was just saying that because it's all I could think of and nobody else was giving input. Now that people are participating in this thread, we could start working out the predetermined requirements.
Re: Badges
Heres my plan, just to start something out.
Master Old Timer
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Best overall score using Admins previous idea (below).
((Years Old dived by 2)+ Years played) Then divided by 2 or some odd number.
Any Old Timer
~~~~~~~~~~~
8 years of play at least with at least two games a year?
Has used a gun from before 2001 (matches 8 year idea)?
Dont know. Just throwing something together randomly.

Re: Badges
I don't really think two old timer badges would be necessary. It would be like making a supporting member badge for people who have bought 1 sheet of stickers, and a master supporting member badge for people who have bought 2 sheets of stickers.

Otter 2 is not a odd number LOL
