f*** up is a understatement for certain areas of it..

4 hours to reshape the body by hand then an hour or so to smooth out the breech and wet sand and polish it up. Came out like glass. Guns like the geo2 and that alias have anot of lines so its hard to tell how shinny it really is. This axe has a lot of flat surface thing is like a mirror

Couldn't save the rest of the axe:( frame was cracked

Seal as in like a clear protective coating? That wouldn't be polishing if that's what your talking about.

It would be polishing. The question simply is do you seal after the polish or not.

I do t think anyone does that. It's alluminum so its not going to rust or weather. The polish is the finish if you were to coat it with something it wouldn't have the same appearance as polished alluminum even if its clear. Any finish will have a different sheen level affecting the outlook of the final product. Even if you wanted to coat it after polishing the clear coat wouldn't be able to grab on to the waxy slippery coat of the polish. It will end up pealing or cracking or seperating on the surface. And this my friend is why it is not a should not be done. Good question though
