I would focus on playing before any sort of social media.

Lol. You have a very valid point, we have had the twitter since last year. But we do agree with you, our primary focus this year is simply to get out and play MUCH more than we have previous years. We are fairly far from any field, so we are going to be putting money into making a field somewhere in my friends 63 acres. Very Happy On top of this, we have arrangements with a field in Mass, Balls 2 the Wall. 3 team mates including myself, went to play there last year. We got to know the owner, and he said that if I bring a few more guys down this year, he would suit up along with his refs. This will hopefully set the ball rolling for us, and get us used to organized game formats. But our real goal this year is weekly practices. We are looking for good drills that we could run, so we are open to any input. So basically, this is a big building year. Rather than a year filled with tournaments and any league play. Our focus this season is to get better, and set in stone some basic team fundamentals and expectations. We plan on next year being our first competitive year. We realize that if we were to enter anything right now, we would get crushed. So again, for us this a building year.

If anyone has advice for us, please post. Very Happy

Hopefully this cleared stuff up for people.

My best advice is to play and have fun doing so. If you want to play competitively the best way is to start hopping into some rookie tournaments and taking a few lickings. Watch high level players and try to emulate them. Remove expectations, have fun.

No worries. Smile What are some rookie tournaments in Maine? If there are any, we are very interested. The Camden Louts - Page 4 2315

Lol, I personally watch PSP and NPPL matches obsessively. Very Happy I guess I should make it my mission to make the other guys watch some too. Wink

Thanks for the advice!

dr3, yes it is! And no, different principle now. Razz Any specific teachers you remember? Very Happy
AND OH MY GOD MAIEIAC. Of course I know Jessie! He was my assistant High School hockey coach, and the skating coach for the Bantam team.

HE HAS TALKED ABOUT YOU BEFORE! This is crazy. You've taken him to the Flying Dutchman before, correct? He and I talked about paintball. This is too weird lol.
