Re: New England Blizzard
Okay. First game, was for Whiteout vs SURGE, Whiteout got the first point losing the first 2 players out of their bunkers but handling the situation calmly they sat back and waited on their guns and shot few people moving and in gun fights. Next point we lost one OTB and Danny drew a penalty. Surge came back only to get a dirty hang. They continued point after point to get penalties and they came through the middle 3v5 in the end and got more penalties. Whiteout with a 4-0 win to start the day. Next was game for Whiteout was NY Infectious, the team was stacked with heavy gunner OTB and know for a slow paced controlled game. They played similar to S.I.N. They used the center A most points to shut down snake side and they did a good job of it. Plus us drawing penalties and losing gun fights did not help at all. Next was Rampage they simply out aggressed (I know not a word.) us and beat us to the 50s and we were not ready for at beginning for the first few points. We came back a little bit but had some dirty hangs which cost us.
Now the d3 team. We lost 80% of roster due to work, weddings, school, and Dave Chapel. We first had S.I.N the game was back in forth, we were winning points convincingly but we had a few misguided communications from the sidelines which cost us a point or too. I don't want to put the blame on the sidelines, however I will say we will rely less on sideline coaches next time around. There was a sketchy call during the match were Cliff Jones was called out on what was rub thought to be a hit and penalized for it. But the predator reversed the call. Which I'm sure you can not do by the rule book. Both calls to pull or not to pull were a damned if you do damned if you don't situations calls by the refs. The game ended up in a tie. Which I honestly think S.I.N was a better overall team and should have won. But that was kind of a silly mistake by the ref.
Next, Section 8 we went into this one knowing it was going to be a tough game. Points were so close and long and drawn out. Each team lost bodies out of their spots and lost people OTB one by one. Point for point trade off for trade off. Section 8 thought to have won the game but they got a dirty hang and the score was still 3-3. Played the last point and it came down to a 1v1 Scottie Bowako vs Dank and the game was tied due to time expiring
Next game was against NE Pride and honestly we went in thinking this match was going to be rainbows & unicorns. Wrong, we got allot of penalties and got too greedy as individuals towards the end of the points. We had one or two dirty hangs and we were forced to play down bodies. Jeff Maldari had a false start in one of the points we needed back. Not trying to take anything from Pride but I think we mostly beat ourselves than them beating us. By that I mean not just the penalties but the way we approached the match. We didn't see them as a threat, just a team that was was an easy win myself included. Moral of the story anyone can shoot anyone, we deserved to lose 4-0. Overall not bad for a throw together with no game plans, dedicated sideline, pit coach, pit crew, and seven guys.
