Just thought I would see what everyone thinks about this

Just for the sake of arguing.... we will say that the tourney is the next V-Town 3-man...... so most of us know the people/refs as well as the field. Also pick your choices off of what you want... not what you see working.

Example: If you want points, but dont see it working out as good as the Double Elimination, Vote for points.
The only way any of us and the fields are going to be able to run these tourneys like we want, is for them to try. they might not get it right the 1st time but that's life.

The Format Choices are

Single Elimination
Double Elimination
Triple Elimination
Points (Center Flag)
  • 100 Points Total
30 Points for Flag Pull (getting to it first in the center of the field)
40 Points for Flag Hang (hanging it on the opponents side of the field)
5 Points for Eliminating Player on the Other Team (total 15 points)
5 Points Per Player Left for your team (total 15 points)
    3 Minute Games
Total Bracket Format (every team plays every team, top teams move on to winners bracket)

Other: please Explain

I voted for the Points.... it's the way that it gets run in every league... a points system. The points break down that i ran is similiar to what the NEPL runs and the way that the Splatz Super Summer Series games used to be.

I personally dont feel that they are hard to run, it is easy to keep track of. 1 big white board is a good way to set it up.

hey guys if you vote can you please put why? i was really hoping to turn this into a discussion thread about the rules! lol

Points would be good practice for serious ballin. But they need a really solid ref staff to make it work well. They've got to have their crap together big time.

Well said, frankly, V-Town has put on a pair of good events, but the reffing has room for improvement, not a lot, but still some. I don't want to take away from their reffing staff, but a points tournament can cause problems. Lost Valley did it that way, but they have had many events at their field, and have a lot of experience. I can see V-Town doing it that way, but only next year.

i vote for points that way everyone can play everyone...asylum never got to play the kids with the tipps...plus other teams might have more of a chance of winning..i mean if someone sprits up and grabs the flag and gets out and someone from their team picks it up and hangs it they win the game even if they all get taken out

You can't hang the flag and be taken out at the same time. When you hang it the game is over, all the times you get shot after that don't matter.
