D.O. Closing
We at D.O. Paintball are sorry to inform our customers that we will not be opening for the 2010 season. As people know, that have been here before, we are a family owned and operated facility. We opened this business with two families, (Dyer & O’Rourke) our kids and their friends. The kids have all grown up, and have busy lives of their own. Therefore we don’t have adequate staff to operate the facility to our standards of paintball.
We have enjoyed the last 4 years with our customers. Thank You

Re: D.O. Closing
Its a pain coming on with my psp, but oh well.
This tis a sorrow, a great sorrow. This was my local field, and pretty much brought me out of being a new player during my first year of paintball. I've only been there somewhere around 6 times (?), and never competitively but I have fond memories. This field also opened my eyes to serious paintball when some EPIC team went in on rebound mode on the other field. Just watching I was wincing, thinking "Cooooollll." My Dad also brought his coworkers a bit, and they had a "Go after da boss" day. I will never forget when my Dad's friend was making faces at his son, who one balled him in the mask all the way across the field. I do remember that the last time I went, it was when I was starting to think speedball, and that I was laying paint down like crazy. Everyone kept ganging up on me, or so I felt, as they always aimed for me first. But it could be just that I suck, who knows. All I know is that this field opened my eyes to paintball, and I had some of the best times ever there. Fun times, fun times.
Alas, but as short said, (in my limited expierience) this field had a good run.
And my Dad was like "WTF Why???" on the phone a minute ago.

actually I was wrong to post this it had a great run. I will never forget the time me and my friend showed up to do drills in the winter with it being 35 degrees out and we were running low on paint and mike gave us some more paint for free with no hesitation. They also gave us free food and drinks Mike you did a wonderful thing for central Maine paintball. I hope you will some day come back into the sport Thank you for what you have done for us.

Re: D.O. Closing
George I agree with you about Mike doing wonderful things for central Maine paintball. Mike is a very giving person he didn't open D.O. paintball to make money he did it to get more people to play and love the sport of paintball. My best wishes go out to Mike and his family, if it wasn't for Mike I wouldn't be playing paintball at the level I am today.
