well, it's too bad it's the e-vents that don't work for you because those are my favorite masks haha. but since you're gonna go with something else i'd probably have to say flexes or grillz/profilers

Its tempting trum, but I refuse to be a guinea pig on a new product. Alot of newly designed products (to my belief) have flaws found by the players that need to be worked out before I'll do that. I'd rather stick to something tried and true.

And events. There epic-ly comfortable, but they only come with one lense and I've heard people just weren't happy with them... Flexes turn me off due to the ear lobe thing (I have ear probs that make my ears super sensitive) and I just tried on a pair of grills but they felt weird... cyclops

well maybe try some profilers sometime, and maybe if you have the money to want to get i4's you could try those too. and i've never tried on proto axis's, but those might appeal to you too

Now that I think about it, I probably should have held off selling my mask until after trying on other mask'es... too many choices, not one f*** store. Oh well. At least I have a epic working marker now, thats a bonuse.

yeah it just looks like they expose a little of the jaw in most cases. which i wouldnt be totally opposed to if i had to wear a pair, but i'd just rather stick with some e-vents

Good mask? - Page 2 Empty Re: Good mask?

Post by Otter Fri Mar 12, 2010 4:27 pm

So I got my I3's in today, ordered them on Tuesday. Which is why ansgear rocks. But anyways. Not a review Corey, by the by, just impressions...

~Initial Impression~
Comfort on my face was unbelievable, even where I'm a four eye'd person. Didn't even touch my glasses / f*** them up at all. The ears were epic, and I will no longer have to wear a hat in the summer unlike with my thermals. They were extremely light, and I was pleased to note a chin strap to avoid the mask going up, which would've been a possibility where the lower part juts out so much. About 2 and a half inches from my lower face, but I just need to get used to it, since I'm coming from a low profile thermal. I had a ton of vision, and never noticed the weight. I did notice that the back strap on the face is a b**** to tighten, but I hope that means it won't come loose during a game (I hope / think) and that I won't have to keep adjusting it. Ummm, beyond that, I would say the only thing that annoys me is it only had one lense at 104 shipped. My 56 shipped thermals had two lenses, AND two microfiber bags for the lenses. But over all I'm quite pleased, and can't wait to actually try it. May be this weekend if I have my friend over. Civil war paintball anyone???

Thats just my first impressions / opinions from wearing my mask for about 10 minutes. Going to have to go out and play before I do more testing. Which I hope is soon. Smile

I appreciate it but I'll have my Dad order it, easier than me worrying about how I'll pay you back. Thanks though.

Really? Why would someone liking flexes make them an idiot? There is no need for that kind of crap. The owner of this site has a pair of flexes..
