READ THIS WHOLE THING BEFORE RESPONDING

So Ive been debating several things for this season. I know alot of people want to play down in boston. Some of you dont want to play 3 man and dive right into 5 man. Soooooo Im thinking we might run two 5 man teams down there, it will be 2 strings, A and B. Obviously A would be our stronger group, but thats not to say the other one couldnt do some damage down there as well. We would all play and practice as a team and grow together and all of us get better. Just because we are seperating into 2 groups does not mean a player will be there all season either, whoever rises to the top and shows the fire, heart, balls, ability, commitment, dedication etc... will reap the benefits. If this scenario does happen, its a guarrantee that we will be forced to play against each other down there, early in the day at that. They will do this so we dont throw a game later on to advance the "sister" team. I think this has very good potential for all of us.

I have just been throwing some numbers around in my head about this, and have thought that if it were possible, to have somewhere in the vicinity of 15 players for this, no more than that though.
A) this would cut down the costs for everyone across the board.
B) this would give us a great number for practices, we could rotate 3 teams and get some stuff done.
C) I am looking for people who are SERIOUS about playing for the whole season as well as practicing, If money is tight, you still need to be there to watch/learn/coach/be supportive and positive.
D) This is going to be a full tilt "go for the kill" season, but we are going to be friends, like it or not, we need to be cohesive, and being friends off the field will only help us on the field. I know some of you are confused by that statement but its the truth.
E) I am willing to work with people when it comes to equipment and stuff, but there will be a extent to it this year. I am waiting to find out some more exact numbers from the sponsors for this season. I am a trusting guy, to much sometimes, but there will be a contract for some of the products, I say this because no one is going to get incredible deals on merchandise and then just walk away. They will be an actual legal binding document that would have to be signed by your parents if your under 18. Dont be scared of it if your serious because you could actually sell this stuff at the end of the season if you so choose. I am not releasing any of the sponsors yet till I have solid numbers and not just rounded off ones. I will throw a hint out there and say that a brand new high end marker will be 600$, thats the number as of the moment, but I am working on a deal to bring it down further.

If any of you have any thoughts or questions feel free to send me a message or post in here if you want. I think there were some other things I was going to say ....Ill update this as we go though. I am not going to hide anything from anyone, any and all deals or transactions will be open for all players to see. Myself and no other players will not be riding along playing for free, we are going to be equals right across the board. My main goal here is just to bring maine paintball back and go down to boston and smack some teams around and let us get back some respect. I currently have a mental list of 15 people I have in mind for this, I wonder who will step forward and up. So if your ready to have some fun and win at the same time....lets do it up... Im done babbling ...for now anyway afro

Questions to be raised by others.

Jim how do I become part of this organization?

how much do I have to pay my share for entry?

Paint cost at practice and events?

Will we practice out of state?

Alot of those cant be answered yet george.

But first and most important, there isnt going to be a "fee" to be on the team. To be a part of this you just have too want to play and have fun this year, and be here for the whole time, not just hang out for a bit or get temporarily mad and run off, or anything else of a silly nature that some people come up with. Its going to be for the whole season, ups, downs, whatever takes place just ride through it and learn and grow TOGETHER..

A) We dont have an actual set number of players to divide the costs of entry by so its all even and fair.

B) im working on paint pricing right now to drive the cost down for practices.

C) We will be taking trips out of state for some rotations, these are not going to be mandatory but will be available for those of us who want to see whats going on with other teams and get a taste of whats coming. I know some people want to, but dont have the $$ to go all over. So the people who do go are going to "help" out other players who didnt by just relaying info they acquired on these trips(lanes, blindshots, good postups, etc) .

D) I am slowly getting into this everyone, its not going to be a tight assed hitlerish form of structure, but I will make it as organized as possible and still have fun. There will be serious times as well as fun times.

Keep the thoughts or questions coming..........

I wasnt planning on having "tryouts" persay, just because ive got a pretty good grasp on most everyones playing abilities, also I dont forsee us having 50 people come out for this.

As of the moment we are most likely going to make bennets our home, merrits been good to everyone and has been trying to help out teams/players as much as possible. Its probably the best choice because of location and the fact that a good percentage of people are in southern maine......Plus ive talked to him about stuff.

I am not going to reach out and look for players, anybody who is really interested in and somewaht serious about our sport is most likely going to be on here, either as a member or a guest or be associated with someone on here. When I said that 15 number, it was because I had 15 specific people in mind, although some of them might not know it.

Im not going to get into the whole coaching aspect right now george, I know its like your dream job and all, but I am not getting into that yet, I will be having some "guest" coaches at practices and events. This year our practices will be that, actual practices, not just hanging out playing some games chit chatting and hanging out. We will be going over layouts, lanes, snapping, blindshots, good posts, various Vs drills(2v1, 3v2, 3v1, etc). I know some of you are thinking how do you study for a layout we dont have yet, well we are just going to be doing random layouts from the psp archives I have found and seen. The point of this is to become more rounded as a player and not just having the criteria memorized. We all know anyway how angles can change from field to field even on the same layout. There really isnt much they can drastically do to mess up a good player, someone who is prepared to shoot whatever is before them.

Keep at it folks....thought's .... question's.....
