WTB: Carbon tank OUT OF HYDRO
looking for a carbon tank out of hydro. size doesnt matter, i dont care if it is scratched to hell or doesnt have a reg. im curious to see if i can powder coat it. the cheaper the better since im just going to use it once as a proof of concept. would be nice to be able to color match a tank to a marker.
while im here i should mention id love to get my hands on a few frames.
barrel shot to take up space

If you do this, make sure you leave the DOT numbers or you will end up with a round paper weight.

When the tanks are filled the actually expand a bit I've seen the flexible coating they but on at ninja crack so use after powder coating would probably not work at all but it would look sooooooo f in sweet haha especially in that matte purple you put up the other day on that water bottle that's hawwwwt

its just to see if i can do it. i wont be using it for anything else. most of the things in my shop are just paperweights. like connecting rods, heads, compressor wheels, etc
powder coating is made of plastic, its very very flexible thats why its used on car springs
this one?

well it is SUPER tough, but it also is forgiving an flexible. people normally paint their tanks, and paint sucks its not very strong. in theory this is going to be the best coating for them. its flexible, good with temp changes, its plastic based, and it will actually protect from scratches and such. id rather have it than ano. ano really is just a sealant with a dye and can only be use on aluminum
