I would like to thank everyone for coming out today. It was great to see some new faces at the field.

That being said, what the hell is with the attitude? Ya know when someone comes up Saturday and says "Hey I would really like to see what this is all about" there is no reason why I should have to hesitate to suggest to them to come check us out on Sunday. It's a frigging practice, you should be there to get better not necessarily to win. If you shoot someone and they don't walk off, SHOOT UM AGAIN. Screaming and yelling will not help and makes us all look like s***. That being said, if you think you got hit, WALK OFF... if it didn't break you saved some paint to play again.Don't be afraid to give some criticism, don't get offended if you get some criticism. It's retarded if I have to sit around and baby sit everyone. However if it comes down to it, that is exactly what I will do. You will be warned, asked to leave, and than escorted from the property.

Agreed, it was great turnout today. I know we all want to win, and its good to have a competitive side, but its is after all a practice. I know the paint was bouncing off people (myself included) which is frustrating, but not everybody is a cheater. However it does looks bad when someone on your own team has to pull you out for a shoulder hit. Cheating at practice only hurts yourself, because when referees are on the field, you'll see penalties flying.

Ed, thanks for keeping your calm when things got heated towards the end of the day. Keep up the good work, we appreciate it.

Welcome to paintball bud.

It's one of the worlds most "a******" sports. Unfortunatley, many people are so competitive (which they should be) that the worst comes out from them. Little things happen here and there and fights might break out. You should see Maynard back in the day though...Those were bad fights.

Ive been in the game for a long time. There's no need for it. You yell and scream, whatever it's cool. When you leave the field you leave the hate. I understand people get worked up, but if you can't control it than you can leave.

It’s the ugly side of competitive paintball and its what turns people off from the sport.
On the one hand everyone wants to complain that there are no places to play, and not many people in the game.
Then on the other they talk about how cool it is to show their ass, fighting in the pits, bonus-balling people, cheating, etc.
If anyone is serious about the sport they say they love, they need to consider themselves an ambassador and promote good will between other teams, invite out new players and make sure they have a good time.
One of the things we had in the MRPL that made it successful was a mutual respect for each other. We had some serious competitive rivalries but we also could sit around afterwards and have a few beers and a few laughs.

Ed, I consider you the representative for BAP on this forum, so don't take this personally, but I would like you to relay this to the rest of BAP.

When you say people will be there, please check with whomever is working that day, to be sure. I showed up at around 10 to see a couple of other guys there waiting. We waited until 11 something, with not another soul insight. Its one thing if there are no players, we would have been happy to drill on the spool field, but when there is nobody there to run the field, its disappointing, especially for the two guys who drove a hour+ to get there, wait around, and drive home. It was disappointing for me to call guys who were coming down and tell them to stay at home, or turn around cause nobody is there.

This isn't the first time this has happened either, its been at least the 3rd time this season

I was there at 915 stayed till 945... I was talking to joe and he said all of technique was not going to make it.

I've posted my number a few times, I will post it again 712-7510. I've got way too much going on to sit around hoping that people are still going to show up. So communication, make it happen Bennetts All-Weather Paintball - Page 15 665615

.... I JUST posted my number lol. Yeah joe said no one was answering so they were going to bail. Most of riot is at ion. Rest of blizzard is recouping I guess from the event. That leaves the few people from the "practice" thread. I will take fault, I should have stuck around...
